How to Wrestle with Life and Win!

The toughest opponent you will ever face will not be on the wrestling mat.

The Wrestling Match of Life - How is it Going?

You may have pinned every wrestling opponent, but have you ever pinned down your direction in life? The Bible states in John 10:10 that God wants us to enjoy abundant life. Further, John 3:16 says, "that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God wants us to live with Him forever.

Unfortunately, we are all in a predicament because we have all sinned and done wrong in our lives. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned." And the penalty for sin is death - eternal separation from God in Hell forever (Revelation 20:14, 15), Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death." The Lord Jesus Christ died so that we can escape that penalty by admitting our sin, asking God's forgiveness, and accepting the gift of salvation.

Don't be fooled! You may be able to escape your toughest human opponent with hard work and good technique, but you can't escape God's judgment for your sin. Even good works and religious technique such as baptism or church membership will not release you from judgment. The Bible states in Ephesians 2:8, 9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."

If your desire is to receive Christ - pray a prayer like this: "Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I die right now, I would face judgment and Hell. Please forgive me for my sin. I believe that You died on the cross and shed Your blood to pay the penalty for my sin. I now accept You as my Lord and Savior. Amen." If you sincerely prayed that prayer, you have just made a reversal in your life for God. John 1:12 tells us that anyone who has received Christ has become a child of God

This is not a temporary victory like a wrestling match. 1 John 5:11 assures us that it is an eternal victory! "God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." 1 John 5:13 confirms that you can know it for sure! "That ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." Don't be caught stalling. Ask Christ into your heart today! 2 Corinthians 6:2 states, "Behold, now is the day of salvation.
